Saturday, January 7th, 2012
It is very rare that we here at CCK9 even consider purchasing confirmation Dogs. Most confirmation (Show Line) German Shepherd dogs are too weak in their nerves, walk on there hocks, and would be cripple after a 2 to 4 hours of man scent tracking in the deep woods. But there are exceptions….
Meet ICE! ICE is the exception, he is not only a German Shepherd import with very strong nerves, but he is very large, with a nice big head, lots of bone density, with great pigmentation. ICE is strikingly beautiful to look at, he is definitely a head turner when walking him down the street. ICE’s pedigree is very interesting, with his direct Father, who placed very high in 2010 BSZS in Nurenberg Germany.
In his Protection he come in fast and hard, with a nice firm grip, nothing will stop this dog in his track when working him during protection. ICE is also a very social dog, and you would not have problem taking him anywhere. Whether it be to the airport, shopping mall, or park, ICE can handle any environment. ICE lived in a house with five small children, and loves to go on bike rides.
This is a one in a million opportunity. ICE was definitely a phenomenal find.

Home Invasion & Protection Dogs
Tuesday, December 6th, 2011
It is not a question that this fragile economy has created a number of instabilities amongst the nation, one being an alarming rise in crime. Home invasion is a leading crime that has received considerable exposure in the media within the last few years. The impact that home invasion leaves on its victims extends far beyond the crime itself, it strips them of their sense of safety that everyone deserves to feel in their home.
Although there is no formal definition, a “home invasion” is considered to be different than a breaking and entering. This is due to the fact that there is a premeditated confrontation with the victim as well as the intent to rob or violently act upon the occupants of the home. Home invasion involves different methods used to gain entry that all home owners should be aware of. For example, one method is when the perpetrator may use deception as their way to gain access into a home. This type of invasion typically occurs during the day or early evening and involves the invader pretending to be someone they are not. Another method of home invasion is the use of force to gain entry. In this scenario, the invader may approach the entrance of the home and proceed to break in, possibly through picking a lock or prying open a window. If people do not understand the critical importance of protecting the safety of their home, home invasions could happen even more often than not. Therefore, actions need to be taken by every homeowner to ensure the safety of their loved ones as well as their own. Protection dogs are without question provide a much needed solution to the issue of home invasion.
Protection dogs (guard dogs) are owned by many throughout the world for a reason. For those who are searching for a way to protect yourself from the threat of crime, guard dogs provide a very unique solution. If there was ever a home invasion that occurred, which put you and your family in danger, it would be vital for you to have some form of protection, security dogs would do just that. Say the intruder forced his way into your home, your trained protection dog would be there to respond instantly and prevent any harm to you, your family or your property. Overall, having a protection dog that would always be there on guard protecting you and if need be, serve as your savior in your time of need.
German Line German Shepherd Puppy: CCK9′s Newest Dog Ombra
Saturday, October 29th, 2011
We were recently very fortunate to be in a position to purchase this amazing German Shepherd puppy, Ombra.
Ombra is from one of the top German Shepherd kennels in East Germany. Her pedigree is a very interesting one, staring with her Mother Donka, her Father ICKX, and her Grandmother Nastja. Aesthetically Ombra is absolutely gorgeous, she is bi-color, just like her Mother, she has big head, straight back, and walks on her toes, unlike what you see in todays world with so many German Shepherd that walk on their hocks.
Ombra’s personality is incredible, she has very strong nerves, is environmentally strong, never raises a fuss and will accept anything that she is challenged with. She is extremely intelligent and is a super quick learner. Ombra was create trained, and was also house trained in just one day. Ombra is NOT for sale, she will be held back for our breeding program. We are looking forward working with her and getting her up to our Executive Protection Dog level. We will keep you updated with her progress.

We were very fortunate to be in a position to purchase Spanky. Spanky is a 3 year old KNPV PH 1 Belgian Malinois import from Holland. Spanky earned his coveted KNPV PH1 degree in May of this year with a perfect score of 440 points, which gave him a bye to go to the Dutch National Championship in September, were he came in 2nd with 435 points. The K.N.P.V. program is the most difficult dog sport in Europe. As one knows, there are only 800 to 1000 dogs that earn this difficult title each year, and the only place where one can title their dog for a PH1 is in the Netherlands. Out of the 1000 dogs entered only ten dogs received a perfect score of 440 points got invited to the Dutch National Championship. To have a dog at this level, this young for sale is almost unheard of.
Spanky is a strikingly beautiful Belgian Malinois, he is definitely a head turner when walking him down the street. He has a ton of confidence with a great personality. Spanky is a very social Dog and is calm in every day life. In his protection he is a typical Malinois when doing protection work, he has no reservations to leave the ground to get at the decoy. In his bite work his bite compression is absolutely devastating, he comes in fast and hard with a bone crushing bite. Spanky will now go through our Elite Family Estate Protection Dog Program. He definitely was a phenomenal find, and we are definitely fortunate to have him as part of our team.
Stimulating Your Protection Dog
Tuesday, August 9th, 2011A happy dog is a dog that is physically and mentally stimulated. Your Personal Protection Dog needs to work and be exercised on a daily basis. I don’t know how many times I seen or hear about someone with a good working dog that only takes them out of the run twice a week to their local club to stimulate the dog. To me this is definitely not enough. We work our Protection dogs seven day a week. In fact a relaxed day for us would be to walk our dogs five miles, three time a day. I personally walk my talk, I will literally walk five miles a day, and it is not an uncommon sight to see me walking with four or six dogs in the city.
One of the best ways to stimulate your protection dog is to have him follow you on a bike, you can cover a long distance at a very fast-paced, in a short amount of time. It is important however when riding with your protection dog that you have him on the curbside, for the safety of the dog. The following is a video that we shot in Holland with a experience KNPV handler and his Dutch Shepherd at a local KNPV club on a bike.

15 Month Old German Shepherd, Guinness Mackenzie
Tuesday, July 19th, 2011A nice letter we recently received from a client by the name of June Miller.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great enthusiasm I write this letter of testimony for Perry Ahlgrimm. Perry Ahlgrimm was contacted, quite out of the blue, after a chance observation of his interaction with his own dogs. Unbeknownst to him, that interaction was being observed, from a distance and what I witnessed; well behaved, obedient, relaxed, happy dogs, so impressed me, I sought out his help. As a responsible pet owner, not new to owning dogs, I was convinced I had exhausted all my options with my 15 month old German Shepherd, Guinness Mackenzie who suffers severe fear aggression and I had resigned myself to the last resort available, euthanasia. Consideration to euthanaize the dog did not come lightly and only after failed attempts by me, with the help of several qualified professionals, including a certified applied animal behaviourist to correct the dog’s behaviour of lashing out at people and other animals. This behaviour first presented itself at the age of ten weeks and the prescribed interventions did not work as the behaviour only increased with the age of the dog. The dog was unresponsive to verbal commands and could not be trusted in any situation. Sadly, the dog was muzzled and wore a promise halter all the time outside of the home. As the owner of the dog, I was miserable and so was the dog. Perry Ahlgrimm led by example using communication, direction and correction. He demonstrated exactly what was required, coaching me right alongside the dog. Initially, and with the strength of a wild stallion Mackenzie responded like a cornered rabbit, but by the end of the first session there was a noticeable difference. Perry Ahlgrimm used applied stress and agility over the course of several weeks to build confidence in the dog and the owner, reiterating step by step the exercises. At no time was the dog mistreated, hurt or abused. Perry Ahlgrimm observed MacKenzie’s reaction to training with a keen eye for trouble-shooting and problem-solving. He was a tough task master, commanding respect, firm but always fair, and incorporated fun in all the training sessions. While the dog learned her part to respond to direction, the owner, under Perry Ahlgrinnm’s guidance became educated in communication, voice and tonality.
I hold Perry Ahlgrimm in the highest esteem for saving the life of this dog. He promised and delivered more than I thought possible or ever dreamed of. He tapped into so much potential in my dog and I am now having great fun discovering MacKenzie’s talents. Mackenzie has so much more to give and I’m enjoying challenging her to explore new avenues. We are great companions now with a genuine bond of trust. I could say that MacKenzie’s transformation was magic, but that would undermine and undervalue the tremendous qualities Perry Ahlgrimm processes. He knows his job, he is extremely talented and he executes that skill with passion and precision to achieve wonderful results. My biggest compliment continues to come from people who knew the “old” Mackenzie and are absolutely astounded with the change in her over such a short period of time. Her body language and behaviour speaks volumes.
Perry Ahlgrimm conducts himself in a truly professional manner and has shown me that MacKenzie is an intelligent dog that could overcome her fear aggression to be an excellent companion, willing to serve. I would welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone looking for a reference in this matter.
Sincerely,
June Miller
