Why Invest in Protection?

May 22nd, 2013

thumbnailIn an era of security alarms and online monitoring systems, homeowners may think they are protected from danger thanks to electronic devices.

This isn’t always the case with criminals becoming more tech savvy and hacking technology on the rise.

Protection from a highly trained dog can offer more security than any device can. They are effective, on-site protection that tells would be intruders or other criminals that they are being watched and will be stopped.

A select breed of dogs known for their exceptional protection qualities are available including German Shepherds, Dutch Shepherds, and Belgian Malinois dogs. These dogs are highly trained in defence measures to protect you and your family.

Personal Protection and Women/Children

Nearly 70 per cent of people who choose CCK9 are women. This is because a dog can be an excellent personal protection from attack or predators.

CCK9 makes sure that the dog makes a smooth transition into the new home and has spent time working with female handlers.

Children can also feel safe and protected with a dog from CCK9. All protection dogs are trained to work around both adults and children from as early as five weeks (puppies).

They are the preferred choice for many CEOs who have to make frequent trips and leave their wife and children at home.

In Public

All the dogs trained at CCK9 have been trained for social situations whether you have company over or are out running errands. They have been taught how to properly identify what is a threat and what is normal activity. They are highly socialized and make excellent companions so you never have to feel threatened in their presence. The dogs learn through real-life scenarios how to identify danger and protect those that care for them.

Choosing Your Dog

CCK9 has been matching dogs with new families for many years and they work with each client to identify what the security needs are and what dog will work best in each situation.

Each dog is rated based on the level of protection required and what kind of working environment they will be in.

The Command Control K-9 Executive Protection Dog is a well-mannered, sociable dog that is good with children and animals. They are trained with all off-leash obedience, aggression alert, and with further threat will take bite on body, release and return to handler on command.

The Executive Protection Dog will also do a building/home search, can bite on elevation, and can handle multiple attacks.

The Elite Family Estate Protection Dog is designed for executives who need a high level of security. The dog offers all the capabilities of the Executive Protection Dog, but can learn customized skills to match your lifestyle, including training in your chosen language, relieving itself on command in a selected area of your yard, and even holding a “down-stay” under a desk during distractions.

Which Breed is Right for Your Protection

May 22nd, 2013

largePeople often assume that by owning any dog, your home and family are protected from danger.

Though dogs may detect when someone is at the door, only a well-trained dog can protect your family from intruders and other dangerous events.
The team at CCK9 have the professional expertise to be able to match you with a dog that will offer effective protection and companionship for your family.
Offering three key breeds – German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois, you are given the opportunity to have a dog that not just protects your home and family, but fits into your lifestyle and protection needs.

Each breed has a different personality, different protection abilities and can provide your family with different skills.

These dogs are trained based on these various traits so you can take comfort knowing you are protected the way you should be.

German Shepherds
Most people associate German Shepherds with providing protection for homes and individuals. These dogs were originally bred to serve masters due to their high intelligence, confidence and loving nature.

German Shepherds make excellent personal protect dogs because of their ability to protect, but also remain calm during day-to-day life events
Dutch Shepherds
Dutch Shepherds offer a different level of protection than traditional German Shepherd dogs. Dutch Shepherds are known for their independent thought and strong obedience. They are slightly more lively than a German Shepherd, but make outstanding personal and property protection dogs.

Dogs chosen for training are selected from owners rather than wholesalers, to ensure the dogs have been properly socialized and are prepared for the rigours of training.

Dutch Shepherds are an excellent choice for owners looking for obedience, protection, agility, article retrieval and scent tracking.

Belgian Malinois
Belgian Malinois dogs are an exceptional protection dog. Swift, level-headed and easy to control, these dogs have found roles not only as protection dogs but in law enforcement too. These dogs are committed to their owners and have a drive to please. They understand their role and will do all they can to protect and keep their owners happy.

CCK9 will go over your needs whether they be personal protection, property protection or executive protection. They will match you with the right breed and a dog that has been highly trained to meet these needs.

Training Your Protection Dog In A Home

March 5th, 2013

As a breeder it is important to work your dog in the environment it is going to be placed in. If you are selling a dog to the military, your dog should be worked with on the battlefield. If you are selling dogs for law enforcement, one should work their dog on the street. If you are selling your dog as an Elite Family Estate Protection Dog you should train your Protection Dog in a home environment.

In this video you will see one of CCK9‘s trainers working a protection dog named Pia in a home. The video demonstrates how one should have control of their dog when a guest enters the home.

Protection Dogs Explained

February 13th, 2013

A properly bred, raised and trained Personal Protection Dog is a pleasure to own. A good Protection Dog can provide piece of mind for you and your family.

Most dogs given the choice will choose flight rather then fight when faced with real altercation. A good Protection dog is a strong nerved dog that will fight to the end to protect you and your family.

A good Dog is well socialized, environmentally strong, will sit quietly at your side, unless an attack is made on you, or you deploy the dog. CCK9 Protection Dogs are all highly defensive dogs, very loyal and affectionate, and they love children.

A well trained dog or any dog for that matter, should be treated with respect and discipline. Keep him fit and sharp. You can pet your dog, love your dog, but don’t treat him like a human. We at Command Control Canine have a saying, you must treat your dog fair but firm.
